there's some fun art/craft cruises that are definitely not scrapbooking.  I think the Crafty Chica did one last year even (I know how much you love glitter edel Grin)  Personally I've always wanted to do some kind of artfest long weekend/trip abroad/cruise whatever....

Then you should come to the AFA/arttradermag one in Rochester in June, Missy!  Wink  Not that I'm a pushy organizer or anything... lol

Oh I've been looking at the AFA event,I'm waiting until it comes over to the western half of the country.  Flying to Rochester is long and painful from Northern Alberta Tongue

I've had some great scrapbook page ideas overnight, I need to go do some work before I totally forget them.

Ohh yeah I'll bet.  Portland in 2012 then!  Man that seems like a long time from now.

Everything I'm working on right now doesn't count towards this -along.  Poopie!  I'll try to carve out some time for the scrapbooky challenge though.  TRY being the operative word.  I need a maid, nanny, cook, chauffeur, and masseuse.

AIMR, you should come! Cheesy  I'm about to explode from excitement.  Details here!

I'll never rule out anything though and might be taking a Montreal/Toronto trip around then.... if I do I'm sneaking at least a day in there Smiley   I'm definitely planning on going to Portland and Texas.

There are STS meetups planned on both US coasts late in the year. You do not have to have been in the STS to do the Meetup. One is planned for Vegas and the other for the Outer Banks in North Carolina. Around Nov I think.

Geez Wulf we were posting around the same time and I totally missed that shrine. How awesome. Did you give it a separate post yet? I would love more detailed story and photos. I also want to show it to my sister.

or you can all come and visit me here in Ireland, come on a crafty retreat, bring minimal clothing and fill up the rest of the space with craft supplies, that plus my stash mean that we can craft all day, i am a good cook, so we can eat and drink cocktails all evening (i  believe lovesclutter makes a mean cocktail!)

so who's coming??

Yes, I guess shrines would be kept out of Scrapbooking. Even the "scrapboxes" would be regarded with skepticism, I think.

For those who asked, the shrine I showed you is fairly large, about 24 in. high. It started out as a wooden wine gift box from a yard sale. I cut the door into three (two halves and a top section that you can't really see in the photo because it folds out horizontally) and put on new hinges and catches. I haven't posted it to a Projects board because, of course, there isn't one for shrines and it's really not papercraft.

By the way, when did carding get a Completed Projects board? It wasn't on the original list! And what kind of completed project is a hank of wool, anyway, no matter how beautifully it's carded.

And Alteredmommy, let's hear more about that gathering in Rochester. It's just across the lake from me - I could swim there, if I could swim.

Wulf
