good call...growing veggies or plants are not really a crafting project...

however, sound like your rock project will qualify!!  Can't wait to see what you do!

For me it's my mismatched, recycled containers that will be the focus of the crafty part! I've collected 2 kitty litter jugs & 2 big coffee "cans" (they're not actually metal) so far, and plan to pretty them up.

I think that if the plants are part of an over-all themed project, like if you MADE special staged growing sites, like a set of containers for the progression of growth, then it would be
a good gardening project. Especially if it was using reclaimed materials, or had a decorative appeal. For example, get some wooden wine crates, and fill it with standing tp tubes, paint the crates with images or lettering, and have the next area set up with larger boxes, and divide the sections with vertical blind slats, only set at 6" apart. Then, build some raised planter beds for the larger plants . A very cleaver use of vertical space, as in shelves, or hanging these boxes at eye level ; by running a rope thru each corner, and tied together like a macrame pot hanger, etc; would be a good way to expand on the seed sprouting project.
Run a drip system along the eves, and hang the boxes.
This gets them out of the dog's reach, and will be interesting if anyone actually does this!
( Remember that post on the strawberries and the dog?)

As I'm such a hard-core swap fiend, I started a New Swap Theme idea that will partially help with board filling: the "I've Been Meaning to try _________" Swap. If you're a swapping type too, come check it out: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343432.0

I just started my interior decorating project about two hours ago.  It is coming along wonderfully so far, but I haven't really been at it long enough to mess it up yet, lol.  Thankfully the hubby is sick (I know that sounds bad!) so he can't come in there and tell me how I'm doing it all wrong, makes it much less stressful to deal with!!   Grin

The color is kind of deeper in real life.  It is very, very pink.  I don't really know that I am in love with it yet, but my hubby gave DD full color freedom and this is what she really wanted, so I'm good with that.  We are doing a Garden Full of Flowers theme.  It's pretty perfect with this color.

I told you what I think of it on your post, but I will tell you here - it's not that good.  BECAUSE - it is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (I was going to do an April Fool's Day trick and say I hate it, but I just couldn't bring myself to tell that big of a lie.  Grin)  I want to reach through the screen and rub it, it looks so soft and adorable and I love the fur right around her face, it is adorable!  I need to go back and hit "this rock" cause I forgot to do it while I was there, darn it.  It is amazing, and I think that when your kids have grown out of it, you should frame it and hang it on the wall or something, that is an amazing piece of art that you get to look at your kids wearing - I am so impressed!

hehe, good April joke! They fooled me on the pb challenge, here, hehe and than you Grin Thank you very much! It really was a big project and full of firsts... So I'm so happy that people like it Smiley.

I wanted to make the pasta challenge but my kids are both very sick so we're not gonna do that. Some other time, family first Wink.

I've been pretty busy yesterday with posting and I finally made the pc buttons for the bag for my neighbour's bd. Right now they're baking so the bag shall be finished today. I don't know if I'm allowed to put links of what I've posted here because some stuff were done before or are not the first project in the category this year but still - I'll take my chances and you tell me to erase it if it's not appropriate, ok?

- here is something in pottery and ceramics - my first sculpture ever - made years ago:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343702.msg3995796#msg3995796

- some more pc buttons - bears mainly (there are 6 different bears on the pics, I don't know if you can tell them apart Grin) for my dds's sheets - this year's harvest:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343701.msg3995778#msg3995778

- ok, thisone was made this year as well - a good luck charm for my friend and neighbour (the one who'll get the bag, yes Smiley)
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343696.msg3995729#msg3995729

- reusable nursing pads - a gift for my friend who just got her 2nd baby:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343694.msg3995667#msg3995667

- diapers - a gift for that baby:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343692.msg3995654#msg3995654

- the whole gift decorated and all the contents:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343686.msg3995632#msg3995632

- a pc pendant for my brother's girlfriend (my dd's aunt - the best aunt they have;)
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343684.msg3995604#msg3995604

- a snowman pin that you saw on my scrapbooking project but some wanted to see a closeup so here it is:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343683.msg3995600#msg3995600

That's it for today. No new board though since I've posted in papercrafts general, children clothing and polymer clay already and the clay project doesn't count since it wasn't made this year. But still I thought somebody might like to see.

Now I hope I'll get to posting all the bags, hehe. That will be quite a challenge Grin - even if I post only the ones made this year...

Ha ha!  Me too!!  Wish I could go in there tomorrow and it would be done exactly as I am picturing it in my head, without my having to actually do the work...lol.  J/k.  You'll all see it though, it's going on the Interior Decorating board when it's all done.  If it turns out to be presentable anyway.

Hehe, I hear you! Sometimes the creative process is great but sometimes there are fases that just seem to last forever and are quite boring Tongue. I wish you finish it early Smiley.

So you won't think I haven't been crafting this past few days - here is our this year's easter decoration:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=343792.msg3997141#msg3997141

(we went to see Picasso in gallery and it really influenced with all the red - one wall there was red) Grin.

Another project that doesn't cound because occasions and hollidays don't have completed board... But anyway here you have a lot's of red Grin - teaser photo:
