I was inspired by the "Hippie Shake" earrings at freepeople.com to create my own  Smiley

I coloured in a pattern on brick stitch graph paper that I printed off at www.blackgiraffe.co m and set to work. Using clear and amethyst bugle beads I started out with the ladder stitch and built a decreasing brick stitch on top of it. Then, I created a pattern for the bottom strands and finished those with amethyst sead bead picots.

They remind me of feathers so I call them "Amethyst Feathers"

These are wonderful!
I guess I am one of those "old enough to have made this style back then", lol, but want to tell you what great colors you used. It is impressive how you graphed these out yourself then worked up the pattern with beads! They are really lovely!
