Like the subject indicates, I was not sure where to put this topic.  I considered that it may belong in health and beauty, but it has a "good not evil," theme to it sorta....Aaaaand...I'm not even sure it's a craft.
Here I go.

I've only ever had a professional haircut once, and that was when I was 16 or so and ended up stranded with a broken-down car right by a beauty school that does 5 dollar haircuts..So while I waited for my ride to come, I had 13 + inches of my hair cut off...I braided it up and sent it to locks of love...locks for love...well, whatever it is... the place that takes your hair and makes wigs and whatnot.
Anyways.  I usually trim up my hair once or twice a month and I always just do it myself..Always have, always will.  I usually trim it in the bathroom and take an inch or so off..sometimes more in the front...and then just toss the cut hair into the trash.
The other day, the wonderful spring weather and the happy chirping of birds outside my window gave me an idea.
I took a little mirror...and all my hair cutting gadgets out onto the fire escape of my apt. building and cut my hair...I just let the wind blow the trimmings right off me...
So basically the wierdo idea was that I could enjoy the wonderful outdoors and (more importantly) the birds could use my hair to help make their nests...I even saw one take off with a bundle of my trimmings!!!!!!!!  SmileySmiley

I know I'm a wierd product of hippy parents..But does anyone else do little things like this to help the world out?  There are lots of great things like recycling, charitable donations etc. to help world-kind...But I want to hear some of the fun, unique, and even strange things you do that make a difference!

Where exactly in the yard?  On the croquet lawn?  By the bird bath?  Marty, where do you think we should bury these babies with webbed feet?  The back yard is getting very crowded i think.  positively littered with corpses.  First daddy's and now duck babies.
