sweater,shorts and a belt = new bag

I love to recycle............ I love the felting process......but I cant knit to save my life......I found a wool sweater at the thrift store and felted it ...... wanted to make something out of it........I decided to use only recycled items...... another trip to the thrift store...... linen shorts and a leather belt......

I wish I had taken a picture of everything before the transformation....(have to remember that next time)

this is what I came up with........


I like the shape, considering I had no plan when I first started


I had scraps from the sweater .....and made a little pouch


I used the belt tassels to attach the belt as a handle.....I did put two extra grommets on the belt to help hold it on better...... i also used the tassels for a button loop



I used a pair of shorts to line the bag with .... I used the back pockets of the shorts for pockets on the inside of the bag which I forgot to take pictures of but will add them after i take them.

The purse turned out so gorgeous!  I love the shape of the bag, and the sweater's texture looks amazing, and its just an added bonus that everything is recycled.  Great job!
