Details of swap:

Did you not get to sign up for the larger holiday swaps?  Are you frantic for a few last minute stocking stuffers?  Have you finished your other holidays swaps and are jonesing for more?  Are you often left out when it comes to Christmas goodies and would like a craftster to make sure you have some fun tidbits?  Do you just want a small holiday swap without all the bells and whistles?  Then the Last Minute Christmas is for you!

This is a quick and easy last minute holiday swap with strict rules.  This is a 3 smalls swap.  Only 3 points in the form of 3 smalls.  There are to be no extras and no spoiling.  Anyone who sends anything more than 3 smalls will be dinged on feedback for not following swap rules.  Unfortunately, due to shipping issues, this is a US only swap.  I'm sorry about that.  Hopefully, others will start up sister swaps to this one to serve their countries if there's demand.

Sign ups will close at approximately 10:00pm CST on 12/2/09.

There is only 1 week of crafting time.

I understand that sometimes a project kind of "grows" itself from a small to a medium while in progress.  Yes, the line is nebulous.  However, it is imperative that you stay as closely as possible to the spirit of the swap and abide by the 3 smalls rule, esp. when it comes to sets of things.  Significant violations of the line between small and medium will get dinged in feedback.

Items must be crafted.  No storeboughts.  Please avoid foods.

For more information on the whole "small, medium, large" thing, click here:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=229624.msg3712343#msg3712343

These are to be small, stocking-stuff-ish items.  You can request that your partner craft for yourself or for another.  If you are having them craft for someone else, please give a lot of information about that recipient in your questionnaire.  To help with the simplicity of this swap, though, please have your partner crafting for 1 person only.  (All 3 items for the same recipient.)  You can request holiday style items or year-round-use items or a mixture.

You must get a DC# when you ship.   Please remember to take pictures of your items before you ship.  (These pictures often save a lot of hassle later on in the swap if problems arise.)

Participants must post in the thread on at least 2 different days during the crafting week.

First time swappers are welcome.

Please, this is NOT a swap to send late on or flake on.  Given the "last minute" nature, please do send on time.  I know emergencies happen.  I mean, good grief, I'm walking Murphy's Law!  But, think seriously about taking on this swap even though it is quick and small, especially with the way the holidays tend to get so hectic and overwhelming.  If you have even an eensy weensy nagging doubt about your ability to meet the swap requirements and ship on time, please don't sign up.  I'm not trying to be ugly.  Sorry.  But, holiday swaps have an emotional component for many people, esp. people who are having hard times personally during the holidays.  And, it would be very hurtful to send late or flake.  Please be very serious about this commitment.  Remember, there is only 1 week of crafting time.

There was a great deal of interest in this swap when the idea was on the new ideas board.  Just in case we get up to 25 or more, please PM me if you'd be willing to come onboard as a co-organizer.  Thank you.

If we end up with an odd number of participants, I may ask if someone would care to take on a 2nd partner, or we can arrange a roundrobin for 3 people.  If you would be open to being called upon to take on a 2nd partner if that is needed, please speak up.  Thank you.

NOTE:  This is NOT going to be a wait till Christmas morning to open the items swap.  Items are to be enjoyed upon receipt and posted to the gallery as quickly as possible so I can give feedback.  A lot of people have multiple swap slots tied up with Christmas morning dependent swaps before feedback will be issued.  So, this swap will not be that way in an effort to help folks rotate a swap slot open quickly.

Because of the above, if you are having your partner craft for someone else who will not be getting their items until Christmas (e.g. your s.o., child, mom, whoever), please go ahead and take pictures and post the items in the gallery when YOU receive the box.  Do not wait until the gift recipient gets the items later.  Thank you.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

Oh, this swap is up.  Now I have to make my list and check it twice to see what I want.

Thanks, Aiki, for organizing this swap.

Well, of all the temptations you could give into in this life, this is a fairly harmless one.  Wink

Well, I know I'll be emphasizing beaded earrings, homemade lavender soap, homemade scrubs (lavender, peppermint, or rosemary), pendants, small stuffies, and hair barrettes as options in my questionnaire.  LOL  Grin
