I had some stunning linen based fabric given to me. and 4 years aogo I bought some cotton curtain fabric from a jumble sale and have never done anything with it...

I wanted a bag big enough for all my junk, sturdy enough for all my junk, with a special pocket for my phone and for my keys (i often carry crochet in my handbag and my keys murder it), an adjustable handle so i could wear it cross body or on one shoulder, and fairly plain on the outside so therefore REALLY funky on the inside Wink

it is a modified tie-bag from Wild Ginger.

here's the handle hooked up in its long state

here's the handle undone

and BEAUTIFUL, wondermuss lining!!!

two large sections, the centre partition is stiffened slightly and has pockets on it.

now the outside, very plain but with some quirks of my own like frayed edge on the closing strap thingummy

(and that would be a 1950 button whch matches the one on the handle)

and just to show them cos i am so proud, my hand-sewn button holes.

Wow. I'd use that everyday, I'd be so proud of it, I'd never want to let go of it!
