I thought these turned out pretty good for the kids to give as presents to their teachers.  They are wood cigar boxes.  The kids painted them either red or green then did a wash of dark brown to give it an "aged look".  The ornaments were purchased at the dollar store and also given a wash of dark brown.  The ornaments were then hot glued to the top of the boxes
