Finally made a Dress for My lil Girl ( Coffy )

  Hi guys ,
   
          I finally got a chance to make a Dress for My Lil Girl ( Coffy ....she is not named after the Hot beverage , But the Hot Pam Grier character ) ... any way up till now she has been growing way to fast to try and make her clothes , and Ive been dying to make her a bunch of cute Lil dresses .... so here is the first one .. its not perfect as it was my first attempt at this type of thing .....I think I need to add some shoulder ties to prevent it from slipping when she runs around all crazy ! lol ... any way she helped pick the fabric she wanted something extra girl and pink because she HATES  being mistaken for a boy ... the fabric even says her nick name " Woman " ! lol and it speaks out against breast cancer  ......

I use the vest pattern (it's easier to fasten around the neck and belly), and use the skirt part from the dress

Your girl is so beautiful! I love the color of her coat.  I think it's great she loves to help you pick out the fabric for her beautiful dress!

Love it. My little girl (who's not little at all) could do with a nice pink dress too I think, I might have to get on to that!

 I actually used the Made by Rae Spring Ruffle top tute recently to make a dress for my little one. (EnglishBull) It's hard to find patterns to fit her chest
 I think I should have used some velcro in it's making so it would be easier to put on . I have also used the larger version of the Itty Bitty dress pattern putting the skirt on the back/top of her only. She has since outgrown that pattern.
My suggestion for straps(from experience) would be to have them come to a V in the middle of he chest.
