we used to wrap present in layers of paper and tape, tiny little gifts in huge big parcels.

The kids love it so every year they get at least 1 each.....

3 years ago DD asked for a bunny......we had a HUGE parcel box and wrote all ove rht top things like.
"don't shake the box you'll scare it"
" fragile living product inside"
" don't open near cats"

inside was a blanket folded over to hide the contents and a stuffed pink rabbit she now calls "Stewart"
That was one of the best gag gifts ever......hmmm must remeber the youngest asked for an otter or black bunny this year, wonder if I can find a large box again.........

My sister did this once to a guy she was dating.  She bought him one of those ID bracelets, and taped it to the inside bottom of a big box.  The she filled the box with tin cans and newspaper.  It was fun watching him pull all of the garbage out of the box, looking for something that resembled a gift.  Needless to say, he wasn't around for the next Holiday.  No sense of humor.

OMG, soooo funny you guys.

Originally I wanted to do the huge box thing, but it wasn't possible for me. Sad  Oh well, what is important is what is inside.

I love the idea of wrapping in feminine hygeine boxes, but I don't have any.  I wrapped all my stuff in pretty tissue paper, which seems rather boring.  Eh, oh well.  I look forward to my recipient receiving.  I will have to make sure my nieces DO NOT shake my box when they visit tomorrow.  They are teenagers, but still, who doesn't like to shake a box, but I won't let that happen.

I forgot to wrap my biggest item  and still don't know how I managed to forget that!  I guess I was so excited that I actually found a box big enough for it.  It was as if the box was made for it.  It was sweet to say the least!  I did remember to put it inside a bag but it would definitely not pass for gift wrapping.  It's all good in the end.  I can't look back with regrets!  It was a fun swap so that's the good stuff ya know?

hehe, I love teaser pics! Gets everyone thinking, even myself! I'm sooo curious to see what everyone got! Maybe, if EVERYONE receives their packages before the 19th, we can open earlier than that? Just so long as everyone 1)gets their package and 2)can agree on a new date!

With the number of packages going overseas and in to Canada I'm sure that everyone won't receive before then - but we can all only hope right?  It would be sweet.

ok TODAY I will go to UPS (old Mail boxes Etc) and see if I got my box. It's the safeest place to have mail sent to while we were waiting to move into a house. Well, we got an apt--8 week at motel is too much-love the DH but one room???
Anyway--what I did one year, my Da bought a case of scotch tape (that 144 rolls) & we taped all seams on on all presents. Made us unable to "rip" the paper open--I think about a 1/2 hour into it even he Found the scissors--it was a good Christmas
