The holiday season is here, and I can already feel the pounds creeping on. Would anyone else be interested in participating in another one of these? It will be perfectly timed to combat holiday poundages and to get a good start on New Years Resolutions.

Here is the original swap link, and the gallery too!

I would be down! Things like recipes, some kind of wall chart/calendar to track progress and right goals, maybe a sign or something with positive encouragements. Maybe a store bought item like an exercise dvd or something that the partner really likes?

Inside a dog it's too dark to read.

I would be interested in this too. Other ideas - yoga mat bag/yoga or gym bag, water bottle holders (like for across your body if you are a walker), recipe book with some recipes and room for more, maybe a rice pack for when you overdo it... oh, I can think of lots of ideas! And you could also incorporate some trading, like if you both have a good workout DVD or book that just isn't you, or you've used and gotten bored with, etc. you could trade. .

I enjoyed this swap last time, although I don't think I can swing it this time.

He kids,
I've been lurking for about a year and this is only my 2nd post.

I read the post that was linked to the last weight-loss swap but maybe I'm just having one of those days. I'm not 100% on how this works.

I understand that you have a buddy system and that participants needs to keep in good communication with each other. But things like the list of sizes and what can be made - I'm not sure I get. Are you knitting for someone who is a large and it's their gift? Or are you knitting for an XL and the L is their gift?

Feelin' a little short bus here for even asking.

I'm not quite sure what you mean about knitting an L for an XL and so on. The aim of this swap is for partners to find ways to motivate each other to lose weight and get in shape by going to the gym, walking, eating healthy, setting goals, etc. If you look at the gallery for the previous swap, you will see some of the things that other people came up with as motivational tools for their partner.

Hope that helps!

I think she means the size requirements for the swap. Size requirements can be looked at in terms of money, time, or actual size, but it's kinda up to your own discretion and common sense. For this swap, for example, a small item might be a recipe card set, while a medium item might be a simple sewn yoga bag, or a large might be an embroidered and sewn yoga bag. Or something like that.

What would the requirements be BTW, in terms of numbers of items?

There is a ton of info about swaps in the sticky posts in the forums that can help explain everything.

I would be in for this I think depending on timing.  I would love to have some belly dance clothes for my new work out routine or a t-shirt or pants for the gym.  Maybe a strap for MP3 player to fit on my arm or a cozy for it.  A calorie counter book would be really cool.

I have so many ideas already LOL
