Several people are getting various purses this year.  I can make this wallet with the scraps and include them in the gift without spending much extra and the gift is that much more awesome!  Thanks.

The tute looks great and, once I was able to sit down and read it without a toddler tugging on me, it was very clear.

I'm happy to hear that the tute is easy for everyone to follow  Smiley
I myself am taking the "homemade gift" route this year and giving many of these wallets as gifts.

Thanks for all the great comments and other posts of the great work everyone has done! Cheesy

Looks great, Lo{ve}!  I just recently bookmarked this thread and will soon be making myself a new wallet as mine is about to fall apart.

ShannyAnn:  Thank you for a great tutorial.  Very easy to follow. Did you change needles when you topstitched? I had a mess on my hands so I just ripped the topstitch out and it looks fine but I like the finished look topstitching has.  I think all the layers and the interfacing just was to thick. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, before I turn it right-side out, I trim the seam allowance as close as I can. That way when I topstitch it, it's not going through so many layers. I've never had to change needles, but I've found that upholstery thread holds up very nicely. Hope that helps  Smiley

By the way, All the pics are great!  Cheesy

I don't know if you may see this, but I have a question. I've never sewn before, so I want to do this wallet as my first project. The only part I don't get is when you say the things about folding and raw edges. What does that mean? Thanks! Smiley You're very creative and skilled.
