So I'm still a SUPER NOVICE seamster. (haha see what I did there?) Anyways, I bought some new work pants and they are 26W, they fit great except for the waistband. They could go maybe an 1" or 2" out to fit comfortably. I found some tutorials but they are all talking about letting out seams down the crotch and it all sounds super complicated. So I was wonder if all you lovely people would know of something really "level 1" simple I could do.

Sincerely,

Pantless at Work  Tongue

if it's just the waist, you needn't touch so many seams.  Just undo the side seams at the waistband, or if the waistband has got only one a seam at the back, then undo that.  Check whether there is enough allowance to re-sew in a better place so it's a little wider.

If there is not allowance, it's going to be more complicated.
