My sister is going on 12 and has a December birthday, thus I need to make her both a Christmas and a birthday present. I've already thought of one idea (an embroidery of the princess and the pea--her favorite fairytale) However I can't think of a second one! She likes make-up and watching movies/T.V. She's also insists that she loves art even though she hardly ever does any. (she has canvas from her last birthday that she still hasn't touched) Any ideas? Suggestions?

Calvin: "POOTY PIE?"
Hobbes: "Or bitsy pookums."

What about some make up with helpful hints for using it (either regular ones or for doing interesting effects).  You can buy them like this, or for a personal and crafty touch you could make the directions yourself.

Or what about stenciling or embroidering a t-shirt for her inspired by one of her favourite TV shows.
