hullo Smiley i'm new to craftster, but a long-time lurker. mini bio? i'm seventeen, live in new jersey. the end. i'm sure you all will get to know me the more i post. SO.

here's a little book i made for the boyfriend (who, is the best in the world. if i could show off the things he's made for me, you'd understand). there's at least twenty pages in there (i'm only showing a few!), i can't really remember. measures around 5 x 7 in & i covered it with some material i had left over from cropping some sweat pants, but i turned it inside out so the towely-sorta-inside of the pants was showing. it's the first book i've made. the best part is making holes with the hammer Smiley

pictoors!

book!

close-up of texture + stitching

oops, glare. the little white box says "very much so."

that's not blood. just red paint. it just looks like it.

pop-up!

i'm sure there's threads on these boards on how to bind books, but i just basically cut/ripped up several sheets of paper for the pages, and covered two pieces of cardboard for the covers and then bound them together with a needle and thread. if you go and look at the structure or the way some scrapbooks are bound together by string (you could see these in like barnes & nobles or something) you probably could get the idea of which way to go.

oh and the best part is hammering holes with a hammer and an awl or a nail Smiley
