So my sister got married about a month ago, and for her bridal shower (which was back in August....I just now decided to post pics) I crocheted her an aran afghan. It was very frustrating, because I would keep frogging it. Then I realized that when you look in the sunlight, one chunk is lighter because it was from a different dye lot even though I got a yarn that claimed it wasn't from a dye-lot, but needless to say my sister loved it and despite the color issue, I'm quite proud. It was massive, thus I couldn't get a good full shot because if I stood on a chair in my house, I'd be hunched over as to not hit my head. Ok, enough jabbering, on to the pics.

we have a queen size bed and it was folded partially under itself so it's as big as a queen.

a detail shot of the stitches.

thanks! I would probably never do it again because it took forever and I kept messing up. it was ridiculously detailed! but I got the stitch pattern off one of those freebie patterns from Michael's or JoAnn's or somewhere.
