Hello all-- me again, I have another bag to share.  When I started making the messenger bags-- my rocking 17 y/o guitar playing brother begged me to make him one.  Well, I was a bit hesitant about fabric choices - I didn't want it to look girlish. I found great gutair themed fabric at equilter.com.  I used black tweed fabric for the outside(very plain) and the guitar fabric inside, the outer pocket is lined in gutair pick fabric and then I used clear vinyl for the "pick pocket" - it holds 3 picks! pun intended- LOL Tongue.  Hope you all enjoy it.  I used very heavy interfacing-- this bag is heavy duty!  I had some problems with the vinyl-- it was very slippery to work with any suggestions??  Thanks!

You did a great job on your brother's bag. The fabric is so cool! I know what you mean about sewing on the clear vinyl. It can really stick to your presser foot. I use some discarded tissue paper from old patterns to go between the presser foot and the vinyl. It works great. It tears of easily but sometimes you have to go back and pick out the tiniest little bits that stay behind. Or if your vinyl was sold with paper wrapper on one side of it (usually white) just use it and tear it off afterwards.
Again great job!!
