I had never heard of Craftgawker before until I came across a discussion thread in the Etsy forum.

So I thought what could it hurt.  You know it's all part of networking to get your name out there in the craft community.

The etsy thread indicated that some artisans received an acceptance after multiple to several submissions.  To my shock and surprise, my first submission was accepted.

This was very exciting for me and just wanted to share with everyone!!!

I was so flattered, I even did a blog write-up about it:  http://plastiqrecreation.blogspot.com/

Your plarn tote bag is gorgeous and I love the unique colors you used. Did you spin that to join the different colors together? Wonderful job and so cool!

Thank you for the kind words -

No spinning involved with this bag - the color combination it a direct result of the Home Depot plastic bag itself.  ..  Although, I do have to give thanks to Barnes & Noble as that is the contrasting green stripe.
