I made this advent calendar using the tutorial that was on the sew mama sew blog by ohfransson.  It was fun, but it was challenging.  My first time doing real applique, and I decided to make this while I was packing up to move!  I blogged about it at http://www.janmade.com.  I didn't get a picture of the back, but I used the Funky Christmas deer fabric from the Michael Miller Funky Christmas collection

Those are pockets right? (I haven't looked at the tute link). What are you going to put in them?

Yes!  I forgot to mention it, they are all little pockets.  I'm going to probably fill them with candy or other little treats for my niece so she will have something fun to countdown to Christmas!

Oooh, very nice and can be enjoyed by everyone who sticks their hands in those pockets. I love it.

That's really cool!  I love the fabric, too.  Awesome job.

Inside a dog it's too dark to read.

That's really cute. And it could be a great holiday tradition for your niece. My Mom made me a felt advent calendar with snap on ornaments when I was about 3 and I still use it each year (I'm now 33!).
