That's the problem with crochet, very few people want to pay you what your time is worth.  I bet the pre-K kids love it though!

This is an amazing piece!  I know it's just yarn, but I REALLY want to eat that roof!  Grin

This is so cute. Don't sell it, it is a keeper, destined to be brought out every Christmas.

that is gorgeous, I was just looking at gingerbread houses to make, did you use a pattern or come up with it. I'm tempted to try but afraid it won't look like a gingerbread house!!

Just came up with it as I went along. Looked at other gingerbread houses - crochet and real - to get other ideas.

I don't really have a pattern. For the ends of the house I crocheted a rectangle then used this pie pattern for the triangle: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=170065.0

The roof I did the bobble stitch with the colorful yarn then sc with the white. Here's a link to the bobble:  http://www.craftstylish.com/item/2838/how-to-crochet-the-bobble-stitch . Or you can use the above link for the cherry filling. I added hot glue to the bobbles on the inside so they wouldn't collapse.

The windows are rectangles of sc with a white chain glue around it.

If you need anything else just let me know.

Enjoy!!!

The base is a 12" styrofoam. Then just crochet a large circle to cover it.

So sweet.  Something like that would definitely be an heirloom in my household!  You have a wonderful gift.
