I received from SimplyFabulous! today and this is what she gave me:

A little water color book with the story of Jesus' birth in it.  It's beautifully done!

               The cover

               One of the inner pages

An hand towel dress for the handle of my oven - the top part is made of material and has inspiritional sayings on it.

and some extras - fabric, pins and crochet thread

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!

That is so great! I'm so happy you got your package! Our swap is now officially complete! I love the handpainted book, and the oven door dress. Maybe I'll have to borrow that idea too! And, you got it just in time for Christmas!

That oven door dress would fit in perfectly in my "Happy Homemaker Gone Slightly Mad" themed kitchen.  Wisted!  The handmade is book is beautiful.  What a wonderful way to remember the true joys of Christmas.

  You are both so welcome!
Please everyone say a prayer for me... I broke my foot in 4 places when I fell on my bicycle today. It was raining, and I slipped... And it was the same foot that was recovering from an achilles injury last year.  Isn't that insane?   So, I'm sporting a brand new walking boot and shiny new crutches. LOL!!!
At least the ankle is OK!

Thanks, K! I'm sure it will be nothing like the achilles injury!  So my extended vacation lasts a little longer!

I'm praying for you, too. My pastor's wife is recovering from either a bad sprain or a broken bone in her foot (can't remember which) right now, too.  I hope you're soon back on your feet (without discomfort)!

  Thanks, Muria!
By the way, did I mention I'm making a "sock monkey" out of the cotton yarn my partner sent me? It might be done tomorrow. I'll put up a pic here when it's finished.
