Originally I was just going to make one, but I guess they're sort of like potato chips. I was making on to give to a friend for his birthday, then my sister saw it and decided she had to have one, too. And of course, I needed one after all that.

The pod!







I had so much fun making them! They are made of fleece. I flicked black paint on the gray parts to give them the dappled look sort of like what real narwhals have. The horns are white broadcloth covered in iridescent lamee so they're shiny. The eyes are made of felt. I made up the pattern myself on the fly.


You can sort of see how shiny the horn is in this picture.

Soooo cute!!! I want one. I am always amazed when people just make up a pattern and it turns out so wonderfully because I could never even dream of making up something like that. They are really great.
