I made this from the Wallet & Grommet pattern.

I love it!

I learned so much when I made it, including some happy mistakes.  Cheesy

I'm going to make another one as a xmas gift, and I just bought a bunch of material to make bags for a friend's craft show.  Exciting!

That looks fantastic hun.....did you find the instructions ok to follow?  I'm contemplating buying the pattern...in fact I've already found where I'll buy it from, but hate to buy a pattern if the instructions are hard to follow as I lose interest in them, and it's a waste of money.  Also, were the grommets easy to put in?Huh

Great job

Hi there,
I did find it easy to follow.  I'm not super experienced, so I am sure that if I could follow it, you can.  Smiley

The grommets were super easy.  The nerve wracking part is cutting the big circle out of your bag to put them in.  I practiced on some other material first.

I used fusible fleece in mine, which makes it sturdy/stiff, but beware it also makes sewing, pinning, and turning trickier.  I like the result, tho!  I get comments on it all over the place, it's crazy!  I need to take a better picture, that one was with my phone.

Hobby Lobby and my quilt store.  You can also generally find them in a place like bed, bath & beyond in the curtain area.  I think Joanne's had some too.  Smiley

Love the bag! Great job on the colors too! Say, what are the handles constructed of?.... is that a felt or is it a tweed type of fabric?
Thanks for sharing!

Hi! It's a 6" piece of fabric, with 3" of fusible fleece fused in the middle of it.  Then I folded the outer edges in to the middle, then doubled the whole thing, and sewed 4 seams down it for kind of a quilted type look.  Very sturdy!!
