Pretty elf slippers, ... or princess shoes ?

I first discovered this very clever pattern via french blogs I follow, and couldn't resist. They're called "peter pan slippers", but I think they look like elf slippers, and to my daughters they're princess shoes ! :-D

I made 3 pairs already (for each daughter, plus for a friend but didn't take pictures) and there will most probably be many  more in the future !
I love them because you can adapt it to any yarn and any size, and my daughters wear them every day. Perfect to use up stash yarn, esp. the yucky acrylics... :-D And what's better than a handmade project that actually gets worn ?!! :-D

how are they made? it seems, as a shoe was one folded granny square plus some sort of sole-piece?

Those are awfully cute! I would love a pair. Is this a pattern that is readily available or did you create it? Also they look like they would make quickly. Great job. Will attach bells so I will know where folks are at all times.

As a lover of peter pan, elves AND princesses--- these are adorable! I'd love a pair since I had to toss my old much worn house slippers and winter is setting in!!! Is the pattern available online somewhere? Great job!!

They came out really awesome.  What's not to like, aye?  Very cool.  My youngest son would wear them, thinking he was an elf and then he would pretend to be shooting arrows for hours
I wonder... it looks familiar.  I need to check the pattern stash. They can't take that long to make (compared to the projects I'm working on now) Was the pattern online?  Please share a link and save me hours of going through my pattern stash

yep, that's the one. The designer  is from Chile and she's so nice. You'll find the free pattern for those slippers on her blog http://josefinayelamanecer.blogspot.com/ (I hope this is allowed, cean't find a mention about this in the FAQs :-P)

Btw, thanks for the nice comments. And if any of you tries this pattern (which I highly recommend, so easy for a great result), I suggest you use maybe a smaller hook than you usually would. Denser fabric seems to work better for the final result. :-)
