Hi, thanks for confirming the pattern.  I was wondering if you have any suggestions oh when to switch form part one to part two?  the translation in the pattern is pretty vague.

thanks

Ahem, ... may I admit that I used the chart and never actually saw there was a switch from part 1  to part 2 ..?!!  Tongue Roll Eyes

However, I'd say crochet away in the part 1 until your square is about the length of your foot (or intended recipient's foot size) and then switch to part 2, which will become the curly toes part.

I added some notes on ravelry on how I did mine if you have access to it.

Otherwise, I joined the sides of the square first in sc for heel part, did only 1 sc in the chain-corner section (to avoid having a super pointy heel which didn't look nice), and then joined in sl stich to make it as flat as possible.

And then, I worked about 2 or 3 sc in each stitch of the curly toes section to make it curl nicely.. although I have since realised that this may not be necessary if you actually follow her pattern corretly, with that "part 2" section... Grin

It's true that her pattern is not phrased as we're used to but I think it's mostly a language issue (she's not a native english speaker). I actually worked only from the chart, as she added the notes in english only after I had finished mine.
All in all she's really very nice, we exchanged some messages via ravelry and I'm sure she'll be ready to help if you ask her.

I'm gonna make a few pairs for Christmas as well! Great, you saved me the trouble of knitting socks for everyone Smiley
And I'll also make a pair for myself, cause these are probably the only kind of slippers I can manage to wear (without losing them somewhere under the sofa on the very moment I sit down Cheesy)
I really like the colors you used, beautiful work!

I recently rechecked Ravelry and even the original Chilean designer's website, and the pattern for these is no longer free...  Sad  If anyone has a modified pattern and would be willing to post it, that would be outstanding.  Otherwise, I just wanted to make people aware.

Is there any free pattern on this site, as the blog is deleted. I would love to make for my boys.
