I wanted to celebrate Ostara by dying eggs, but i always get so bored afterwards, b/c what DO you do with the eggs?

So, after making the dye with a friend, we dyed and 'blew' 11 eggs (i broke one of them), then a month later i strung them up!

I hung them with wire, and they're attached to TWO chopsticks, which are covered with green ribbon. The end!

the first time I read that I mis-read it as "we 'blew' 11-inch eggs" and I was wondering 'Where did she get 11-inch eggs?!' Cheesy Anyway...

That's an awesome idea.  They look really cool as a mobile.  I have the same problem with my colored eggs.  They just kind of...sit around until I get tired of seeing them. Tongue That's a good idea, though.  I'll have to keep it in mind...

In my country (for easter) it's tradition to get some birchtwigs, a big bundle, and put it in a vase, then decorate it with colored feathers and hang colored eggs in it. Smiley
There's not a good english word for "birchtwigs for easter", the dictionary just says "Easter decoration of twigs adorned with coloured feathers".

something I've heard has become quite popular is to get an entire branch and hang it in the ceiling, and hang eggs from that Smiley

dyed the eggs on good friday
on saturday or sunday my grandmom had my mom and me take the shells off all of them so she could make deviled eggs
normally we do 2 dozen and she does the deviled eggs with one but this year we only did 1 dozen because we were leaving on a vacation on monday
