Hello,

I have been making this Spidery Tank: http://www.interweaveknits.com/galleries/bonus/summer-2009/Spidery-Tank.asp since the summer and have finally got to the shaping of the top. This is my first time knitting a garment ( I just taught myself how to knit last winter with a scarf) and ran into a little hiccup.

I have finished the right front strap and put the rem.  stiches on a stitch holder as the pattern says. Then it says to start the left front strap. Okay, but my yarn is still attached to the very top of the right strap.

Do I fasten off, leave a long peice, or grab a new skein of yarn and leave the rest of that ball attached?  I have read through the rest of the pattern and it doesn't say. What is the best way to proceed?

Yes, use another yarn end. It can be from the other end of the skein you're working on, or from a new skein. You can read ahead in the pattern to see how you finish off that strap you just finished, whether you attach it to another piece or just sew it down. If It's on a holder, you might just attach it to the back strap or the back of the tank, so you can also cut the yarn, leaving a foot or so to attach it.
