I love this shirt from walmart:
http://cgi.ebay.com/MILEY-CYRUS-Max-Azria-Chiffon-Ruffle-Shirt-Top-Black-L_W0QQitemZ230394521763QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_CSA_WC_Shirts_Tops?hash=item35a49568a3
But I hate wal*mart clothing! They shrink, tear, fall apart, etc. I know if I make it myself I can get better materials and make the seams last longer.

So I'd love some recommendations for a pattern I can buy or that is close and I can alter.
Any help would be appreciated!

The closest ones I could find might take some modification for the ruffles & neckline...

Simplicity 2706:

You could modify that pink paisley view to add more ruffles.

Or Vogue 8194

Again, you'd have to add ruffles.

I hate Walmart, too.  I've seen the clothes & can't believe anyone would buy them - you can see right through the t-shirts!

I am collecting cotton Hawaiian fabric scraps for a quilt if you wanted to send any my way!

As much as I hate ruffles I love this shirt so I think I can handle adding more ruffles to it. Smiley I'd also have to  add a collar but I think one of my other patterns may have a collar I can use. Thanks for the recommendations!
