So I've been working away on the tea towel tour but while all that was going on my best friend decided to move away and I wanted to make him something to put up in his new home...both of these are Sailor Jerry designs the Ace of Spades took around 8 or so hours and the Love Thy Neighbor was in the realm of about 20 hours.

I hope you like them...I was really stressed about the Love Thy Neighbor piece and I'm not sure what I think about my shading but I am glad I gave it a shot.

this baby features the trellis stitch ... and wanted to post it on here because I originally saw the blue/black embroidery floss combination here on craftster some time ago and loved it and this was the first time I got to try a version of this effect out.

thanks  Cool Smiley

I should clarify that with the fact that i am one of the worlds slowest stitchers and that I regularly remove stitching if it doesn't work for me.  Plus, it makes the time I spend watching TV seem more productive!

my friend over the years has always had a tenuous relationship with his neighbors and so the design is definitely his version of Home Sweet Home Wink

Love them both. It's easy to see that so much work went into them. I also love the trelis stitch and think I will also give it a go at some point
