So...I totally was trying to make toy mice for my cat. Found this pattern and it ended up HUGE! I mean, my cat thinks its just to big to bat around. So. I added some feet, eyes and nose, dropped the tail and they look like hamsters!

This is Cuddles, he is a long haired genetically colored hamster, previouly owned by an evil mastermind. cuddles does not play well.

This is Nibbles, she is a russian dwarf. Very young and very shy.

This is Roosevelt, he is a teddy bear hamster. Also very shy and nibbles' BFF.

last we have Gus, short for Agustus. Gus is a very old hamster, a vetern of the hamster wars of korea. He is an ex fbi agents pet and now lives with the rest of the hamsters. He does not speak of his crooked jaw or scarred eye.

Some cute fotos!

grrrrr

Aww, how cute!  I've never owned hamsters but I've always thought they were painfully adorable.
If I might ask, where did you get the pattern?  I might like to give it a try (and my cat would totally attack them no matter the size, if it's fluffy, she's on it...I frequently have to pry her off of teddy bears that are bigger than she is, haha- lucky for me and my toys she doesn't really use her claws).

Those hamsters are awesome!  It's great to see hamster crafts pop up, since they are cute little buggers.  (I have three.)  I think I like Nibbles best, her little feet are adorable and I love her fur color.  Cheesy

thanks for the compliments >.> I am making more as we speak. Roosevelt moved on to a new home. He now lives at a Graphic design company as a computer companion.

theatreorchid:

Its in a magazine I got at Jo-Ann Fabrics. Its in 50 Nifty pet gifts by leisure arts. The patter is simple. Its a half oval (more circular one) and a tear drop. Circle ears and a thing strand for the tail. It calls for fur on the 2 half oval parts and fleece for the tear drop

Cool!  I can't wait to see the other little critters you come up with!  Cheesy

I might have to look up that magazine at the local Jo-Anns too, I love having patterns and ideas at my finger tips.

thanks for the compliments.

That magazine is super cool too. It has everything from pet beds, to pet clothes, toys and gifts. it was like 12 something. So I imagine its around that price else where. I found it with the books even though its like a magazine.
