I hope this is in the right section and I'm allowed to do this...

Due to budget cuts in California education, the Division of Textiles and Clothing at UC Davis is at a high risk of closing down. If you love crafting, clothing, and fashion and understand the importance of the textiles and clothing industry, please support us by signing our petition at:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/save-the-division-of-textiles-and-clothing

UC Davis Textiles and Clothing graduates have contributed to many sectors of Californias fiber/textile/apparel industry, the nations second largest, including research on many related advanced materials in the public and private organizations as well as education and research at the universities in the U.S. and internationally.

HELP US SPREAD THE WORD.

SAVE TXC! SAVE CALIFORNIA'S ECONOMY!
What is the apparel industry without fabric(textiles) and marketing?!?
How could one even DESIGN clothing, shoes, and other accessories without the textiles/fabric to MAKE them with?
How could you craftsters be so crafty without the textiles to make your crafts with? The shoes we wear on our feet, the yarn we use to crochet our winter scarves, and the fireproof jackets that firefighters wear to save lives are all products of the research done by the textiles and clothing industry.

Yikes, I had been planning to transfer to that college and program last year! That's so sad.
