Fueled by the scent of rubber shavings....

So, yeah, I'm a big fan of capsule toys.  (I have a Totoro plushie from one of them sitting in my purse right now, and my girlfriend has the catbus one from another machine.)  Problem is, I don't know what to do with these little plastic capsules.  They are bigger than your average cat toy and have some holes in the bottom of them.

What do you guys suggest?  I have about a dozen of them - I've given some away as cat toys with some catnip stuffed inside...and those are rather successful.

The capsules are generally clear plastic "eggs" that open.  Some have holes in one end, and some have threads to screw into the other half.

I would use them as the middle capsule of my surprise balls that I make.   They would hold a treasure nicely while still giving me a round shape to work with to form the ball

Nice.  I think I'd do that.  I had several in my freezer, holding catnip and stuff.

I have also made cat toys out of those plastic capsules, but instead of just putting catnip in them I partly fill them with something rattling or jingling and then needle felt the capsules. I have thought about mixing some catnip into felt but haven't tried that yet, so I'm not sure how that would work.

Spray paint inside of largest half with black paint.  Spray paint outside of smallest half with white.  drill hole in center of smallest white half.  Run a Screw through it into a half of one of those cardboard hanger tubes(white)  Glue a magnet with hook to other end by shoving hook into the cardboard hanger tube.  Stick to ceiling if you have metal ceiling, if not will have to figure out way to attach to ceiling.  Looks exactly like a securiety camera they have and stores.

I've been wondering the same thing as to what to do with these...I can't remember where I saw it, but I saw someone make a mini snow globe type thing inside without the water and with very small styrofoam pieces (so they're static and actually fly around and stick to things) it looked REALLY cute!  I have little paint jars I was thinking of attempting that with!
