That's beautiful - I like the contrast between the cogs and the fabric, and I really like the way you've used different colours and different density of quilting.

Stop being so damned positive. Staring at the sun only blinds some one. By only looking at the positive, you miss an entire beautiful world of shadows and colors. Don't be overly negative, be realistic. The world is so much more complex and beautiful that way.

That is quite possibly the best use of a bridesmaid dress I have ever seen!  The cogs look fantastic in that fabric and the blue thread doodling is incredibly dynamic.
