Hi there!

I'm in my first year at art school and my first sculpture project was to take 5 kilos [approx. 12 pounds] of a found object and create a sculpture that relates somehow to the object chosen.

I chose buttons and I thought I would share my end results with you all!

The first crown I finished is a male/king's crown:

and the second one I finished is a female's/queen's crown:

They're 100% buttons so I didnt use anything as a base for them,  I just glued a ring of buttons and built on top of them,

constructive criticism welcome and greatly appreciated!

Wow, that's pretty amazing that it's ENTIRELY made of buttons... before I read that, I seriously thought the darker connecting parts of the first crown was a fabric.  I really like the buttons used for the female crown- the way you spaced them looks awesome.
And your cat matches and is very cute, too <3

I am really impressed.  I adore the second crown. All of the crowns are beautiful. I thought the first one was fabric too. I am in awe of your gluing skills.

I see your beautiful cats are ready to wear them, ROFL!
