Late Arrival (by Mister Reusch)

One night of last week's RT Booklover's Convention was a Fairy Ball. This year's theme was the elements: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. I went with water and made this skirt inspired by Gibbous fashion and the other Gibbous-inspired skirts popping up around Craftster.

I started with this skirt, which had a blue floral overlay and a navy underskirt section. Plus this teal shell which would eventually become my fairy top. So flattering I cropped my head out of the picture.

I cut the navy underskirt short and tore the floral overlay to shreds. Then I  sewed in ripped pieces of various blue fabrics, two types of tulle, and strings of blue sequins with crazy blue stitching.

The full costume in the end, along with a raggedy top, blue tights, and awesome wings (But oops - should have removed my name badge!)
