Trying to think what I can knit in an hour...Apparently you can a sweater in two hours, so, would anyone like half a sweater Wink  Or there's the one hour crochet scarf if someone wants a nice, thick, chunky winter scarf.  The only other thing I could think of would be a hat for a newborn (that can't take that long, surely?) or a lace bookmark.  Ooh, or a headband (knit/crochet).  Also a washcloth...OK, loads of ideas now!!  Anyone interested in any of these things?

ETA: OK, a bit more brainstorming, and now I have a longish list of ideas...  so I'll get cracking on my questionnaire.

thinking......  I'd really like to do this swap, but have to watch my time commitments.  If I finish enough by the 15th, I'll sign up.

What time (and time zone) will you be closing signups?

It'll probably be the morning of the 16th (for me) as I'm way ahead of you all here in the UK and if I close in the evening of the 15th then it'll be early for you.

This swap seems to be very popular. If it turns out to be that popular and goes over 24 people I'll see if I can find a co-organiser so no one gets left out that wants to join  Smiley

this is brilliant.. why did I look?  i can whip up all sorts of things in 1 hour.  Felt cell phone covers, pair of crochet potholders, felt headband, felt bracelet, felt felt felt ..... so many things to be felted.... 4 days until sign ups end... dang it... I think I'm nuts... with everything on plate already.... lets see what happens in the next 4 days.....  If it doesn't fly for me, I'm in for round 2, hopefully some time in Febuary? when i'm back into crafting mood after xmas and baby?  that'd be perfect Smiley

I have a free slot, and this may be just the thing to fill it with.  I can do ton's of great sewing projects in an hour...and probably a few jewelry projects, though I can't really monitor my time on those, as I do them at work between calls ALL DAY long through my 8hr day...OH!  And I have recently gotten into making bookmarks, mostly paper pieced, then I take them for laminating and make a crazy tassel to put on them Smiley

'Upgraded' Velcro wallet (basically, it has a couple extra pockets Smiley )
Standard Velcro wallet and zip pouch set
Set of 4 or 6 reversible placemats
Set of 3 different sized zip pouches (i.e. makeup bags!)
Totebag
Simple hobo bag
Butterick's retro tie bag
Small applique wall art
A simple sleeveless top

Set of 3 pieced bookmarks with crazy tassels
Charm necklace/bracelet/anklet
Beaded necklace
Hemp necklace /bracelet/anklet of varying lengths/weaving styles/beads and charms
 A flower head wreath

I think I will be signing up shortly!

Yeah, the retro tie bag was one of my fave purses to make before I got some more schooling under my belt on making more complicated bags.  It's a small hobo style, with a short handle that ties together, so it's a handbag more than a purse...has a zippered closure too, and it's easy to put in, back when zippers scared me Smiley  I still like making them, and they are easy and quick!
