This hat is soooo sweet!!! I'm knitting with what I believe to be the same exact yarn (Caron Red Heart, anyone Smiley). I might have to save it and give this hat a shot, it's brilliant!

punkrockett ~ thanks! and you will love entrelac!  Smiley

lamourstories ~ thank you, and yes! it is red heart. gotta love it.  Tongue what are you making with it?

ScotSkipper402 ~ It's just one skein of good ol' Red Heart Super Saver; the color is Peruvian Print. I got it at wal-mart for like $2.50. I used 5mm needles.

Iamacarnivore ~ thank you! I am in LOVE with entrelac now. I'm already working on a scarf  Grin any other questions? p.s. I love your username.  Wink

Me, neither!
I've seen it on scarves, but this hat takes it to a whole other level!
Maybe I need to take some knitting lessons now...

thank you!  Cheesy and it's actually not complicated, it makes really good tv knitting! (that's why I love entrelac, easy to do with beautiful results) and, if you're broke like me, you don't have to take knitting classes, becuase there are a lot of tutorials floating around on the internet.  Smiley

That's just beautiful, and the yarn really complements the design. One of these days, I swear I'm going to learn to knit.

That's it- I'm learning to do this!
okay, i was already 1/2 a** trying, but this totally makes the scarf i'm working on seem worth it. if it's a stepping stone to the excellent that is your hat, it's time well spent!

I totally want one!

I love...LOVE this hat! Last year I knitted the pattern using Patons SWS, but I like how yours turned out better because of all the fantastic colors. Entrelac is super simple, particularly once you learn backwards knitting. Holy crap, I can't fathom working entrelac and turning my work to purl any more.
