That is a VERY good idea because the sooner you have it posted the sooner you could possibly be selected.  I best take the same advice.  I always have such a hard time coming up with wish lists!!
Who knows... if I have a bit of time I might start it up a wee bit earlier just to get a head start on it all Wink
We'll see.

OK, I'm a bit groggy from lack of sleep, but let's see if I understand this.

Participants post their wish lists - crafted and non crafted items.  Everyone can claim up to so many people to send to, and let the organizers know.  Send secret packages out - and it really can stay a secret???

I love Secret Santas.  I am just worried that this may overstretch me for the Christmas season.

People usually outted themselves in the packages.  If you are a FOC you can have 3 outstanding wish picks at once - as in you can pick up to 3 people.  You can pick more after your packages arrive.  I sent out 4x last year Cheesy, First time swappers can only pick one person at a time (pick, send, can pick again after received) and other craftsters can have 2 picks out at a time.

It's a fun swap. The beauty is that you can pick at your own pace.  If you don't want to send more than once, then you only pick once.  If you are in a really festive mood then you can pick as often as you have a spot available.   If you see something that you'd like to send someone then you can pick.  There was a ton of picking going on last year.  It was a lot of fun all around.  It was fun to find out who picked you and for what when you opened your package!

This sounds like a lot of fun and seems like it would be pretty low stress since you can pick what you want to make.

Another good thing is that you do find out how many people have claimed you, just not who or for what. Unlike the Ongoing Wish Swap, nothing gets crossed off of your list when you get claimed, because you won't know what to cross off!

If you want to send Item X to Person A, you PM your claim to the organizer, and if someone else has already secretly claimed Person A for Item X, the organizer will tell you so, and won't list your claim until you decide how to proceed. If Item X is something Person A wants a bunch of, then you may choose to go ahead and claim Person A for Item X, or claim Person A for something else, or claim Person B, or wait on claiming altogether. You just have to confirm what you're doing with the organizer. Or if Person A wants something that is "ocean-themed", and someone else has claimed Person A for that, the organizer can put you in contact with that other person to make sure you aren't making the same ocean-themed item.

This crafter is out of service most of the rest of 2015 due to a wild schedule, swapping once in a while when I can't fight the feeling anymore ("I've forgotten what I started fighting fooooor...").
Personal swaps: I have lots of home-grown rosemary and white sage available, plus altered journals.

I've got my list started.  How many items should we have on our lists?
