Where do you shop Novocastrians? (Thats Newcastle, NSW)

Where do you shop for your crafty supplies (other than Spotlight)?
There are HEAPS of scrapbook shops popping up everywhere, but I don't scrapbook. and beady places too. :>
I've found patchwork supplies in Boolaroo and Mt Hutton.

Where else?

Ooh someone near me! Though I actually don't go to many of the boutique stores. I'm quite fond of good ole Spotters and Eckersley's. Though there's a really really nice quilting/patchwork store in East Maitland that I absolutely love, though can rarely afford called Southern Cross Needlework. I also sometimes use CJ's Patchwork shop in Greenhills. I'd love to hear what other places there are in Newcastle!

I'm guessing Katie's Treasures is still out at Waratah.  They have a great range of beads.

I know this message was posted some time ago, but I've only just joined this crafter's forum this week and happened to notice this message,so i had to reply. Like you, I am also a novacastrian, I source the bulk of my craft/sewing/art supplies from spotlight, but I also go to a place on tudor st, Hamilton (next door to Ekersleys art supplies store). This store specialises in quilting material and also runs classes. I can't remember the name of it, but the business also owns a similar store somewhere in Boollaroo.

Spotlight at Rutherford has a better range than the Newcastle store.
The boolaroo store has just moved into the mitre 10 building on main road.
I also heard that Clarksons in Kurri is quite good too.

I shop a Go-Lo for a lot of my crafting supplies, the quality is sometimes lower, but the cost is proportionately much lower! I get my glue and scrapbooking papers there, as well as glass containers and embellishments for all sorts of things, their beads are pretty reasonable too, and buying pillows from there is so much cheaper then buying filling from spotlight! For fabric, second hand stores are good for things like denim, and I've heard old bed sheets are great for all kinds of projects (I haven't tried this but I saw a really nice full circle skirt made from a vintage pattern bedsheet)!
