If you live in the DFW area and want to start a crafting/social group, send me a pm!  I'm new to the state and would love to meet some of my fellow Texan craftsters.

I am a little confused. Huh  Since we are sending to 4 people how many pieces do we send to each person?  The past rounds each person has sent 6 strands to 5 people, and each person receives 30 strands.  If you send 7 then each person only receives 28 pieces rather than 30 if you send 8 then they get 32.  I guess I will plan for 8 just in case, but if someone can clear this up for me I would appreciate it.

I was going to start cutting tomorrow. I will wait for an answer, if that is Ok. I would hate to cut then all of sudden whoops, lol.

I am so excited about this swap. I hope I spoil my partners.

See I knew that I would mess this up. Cry Cry Cry   I tried to get partners & questionnaires out last night so y'all would not have to wait.  But I totally forgot to PM or post about the group/amount numbers (I headed to bed right after I sent the last questionnaire PM).

If everyone could send 8 strands to their partners I would be so grateful.

Please PM me if you can't, I will make up the difference myself.

I am extremely sorry to everyone for making this experience so confusing and difficult.  I can only imagine how frustrating you are and how inept I seem.

I'm just fine with sending 8 strands!  Allows me to get rid of more of the small tidbits of yarn I have around that I can't think of anything to do with!

I have just sent a PM to everyone.  In case it doesn't make it to you, here is what it states....

Quote
Hello dear yarn swap participants!  I am so sorry for not writing this PM before sending partners.  I am afraid I have caused confusion which is never fun during swapping.  When pairing I created groups of 5 (instead of 6) to deal with the fact that 25 (the number of participants we had when counting those who wanted 2 groups) was not divisible by 6.  This means that you are sending to 4 people instead of 5, and that you will be sending 8 strands instead of 6 to each person in your group.  If I have done my math correctly (which is debatable), then that makes each person in total sending 2 extra lengths (4x8=32 instead of 5x6=30....make sense?).

So to sum up:
You are sending 8 pieces of 10-foot lengths of yarn, fabric, ribbon, etc. to 4 partners.

Again, I am very sorry for any confusion, frustration, or disappointment.  Please PM me if you have any questions; I'll try to be helpful.  And if you can not send the extra 2 lengths, PM me, and I will make up the difference.

Sincerely,
Melissa aka pinkleo

P.S. I have read this note over several times in fear that I have made some mistake.  I am about to hit send, and pray that I have the above is correct.

I think that is great pinkleo! Wink  Now I only need 4 envelopes and 4 DC #'s.   So maybe it will be cheaper this way too!   Thanks!!   Grin

I was thinking that perhaps less shipping costs would make up for the extra 2 lengths. Wink

Thank y'all for being supportive! Kiss

Not a problem, glad we are all on the same page now.  Look at it this way, we can all have scarves that are 2 strands thicker, or you can leave out your 2 least favorite!
