Yarn Swap for Rapunzel Scarf Rnd 6 ~Thanks everyone for making this a flake-free swap!~

I-cord is a tubular knit cord. I am cheating and using my embellishknit. The original was said to have some i-cord and chained crochet pieces as well. I have cut up my handspun ends and random colors of random yarn last night. I guess I will use any excess that is not sent off for a christmas gift. I am using random colors for the i-cord as well. The tricky part is keeping it rom breaking beore I get the 10', but I thought it would be fun.

Micheaels ribbon (10 yards) is on sale for 5 for $1, if anyone is interested.  All their holiday ribbon is half-off too, but most of if doesn't even make ten feet.

I wish we had stores like that in the UK. Craft stores here are really expensive

We don't have a Michaels here so I had to go with JoAnn's 6 yard spools 3 or a dollar. Not nearly as frugal, but I do have more options and colors to choose from. I am tempted to make several in different colors. I wish I could weave them, then the different strands and textures would standout more.

We have a whole week left for sign-ups.

I think I am going to make my mother a scrapbook kit with the let over bits that are too short for scarves, but still quite useful.

I was just wondering if there was a Rapunzel scarf swap on the boards.  So happy to find you.  I'd love 2 spots.  My daughters decided to make these for her friends for Christmas gifts, so I've got a boat load of fancy pants yarns.  Luckily I found this swap because I hadn't thought to add ribbon or fabric.  I'm a quilter so I've got the fabric part covered with my eyes closed.

Alrighty, it seems we are getting good interest so I am officially opening the option to participate in two sendout groups, meaning you will send 6 pieces of 10-foot lengths of yarn, fabric, ribbon, etc. to 10 partners.

If you would like to participate in 2 groups and have already sent in your questionnaire, please either post your in this thread or send me a PM.  I will denote your request on the participant list; do not hesitate in contacting me if I have your status incorrect.

Wait, is that right?  If the original requirement was 6 pieces to 5 people (totaling 30 pieces), then wouldn't double that be either 12 pieces to 5 people or 6 pieces to 10 people?

You would have 10 different partners and 10 different envelopes of yarn.  Each envelope would contain 6 strands of 10 foot long yarn, etc.  So you would be cutting and sending 60 yarn strips instead of 30 (double).

I would like to be in two groups. I would prefer neutrals in one group and aqua/teal/turquiose in the other. My daughter was coveting the aqua ones I had collected. I have started grouping snippets in various color families.

I don't want anyone to have to go buy anything, so either of the color groups above, or sage/olive greens or burgandy/wines are on the prefered list, with soft complimenary colors acceptable as well.

Okay, wait I was way toooooo sleepy when I posted that....
If you choose to have 2 groups, you would send 6 pieces of 10-foot lengths to 10 partners.
(But remember it is all based on participants, we may have to be flexible.....feel free to recruit peeps )

If you do 1 group, you are sending 30 lengths of yarn, etc. in the swap.
If you do 2 groups, you are sending 60 lengths of yarn, etc. in the swap.

I am very sorry for the confusion!   Math & nighttime don't mix for me....I just doubled everything instead of just participants.
