My bf has been bugging to knit him a hat for a while and I finally got around to it (oops, missed winter  Smiley). This was my first (successful) freehanded hat (yay!  Cheesy). I just measured his head, cast on, did a k1 p1 rib, and then did the decreases when it seemed right. So here are some pics of my guy posing in his new hat:
