I've been feeling so crafty lately! My boyfriend is originally from Texas, and his parents have all kinds of Texas themed stuff decorating their home. So I thought, for Christmas, some wine charms with Texas symbols would be a cute little handmade gift to give them (and after the holidays, after sixteen years, they'll finally be moving back to Texas, so it's kind of a sendoff gift as well!). They are made from shrinky dinks, which I drew and colored myself, and then beads and the charms are threaded onto jewelry wire. Also, I finally figured out how to use our new camera, so I finally have macro pictures that aren't blurry!

This is the whole lot of them.

This is, obviously, the state flag.

These are bluebonnets, the state flower.

Remember the Alamo!

A Texas Longhorn. He's pretty cute. Smiley

The state seal.

And, of course, Texas itself. There is a star for the capital, Austin, and a heart for Houston, where my boyfriend is originally from.

I hope they like them! Comments and critique most welcomed!

I'm a Craftster Best of 2011 Winner!

Yup, definitely not hipster enough for Craftster.
