Here is my post for the challenge.  This is my first challenge! Smiley  I was hoping the october challange would be halloween costumes!!  My costume was inspired by Strawberry Shortcake.  She wasn't an actual character but if she was, this is what I think she would have worn.  Smiley  Her name is Cherry Jubilee.  Her dress has lots of cherries on it!  I love cherries, and love this fabric and wanted to use it for a costume somehow! The bloomers were fun to make!!  Can't remember who did the tutorial on here, but I used the tute for making your own leggings.  Figured it was the same idea.  The dress was from a Simplicity pattern with a few modifications.  I had to make the dress longer because other wise it would have been way to short!! I was happier with the length, but thought it would look adorable with some bloomers to wear under it.  And it was!!  I wish I would have remembered what the stockings looked like.  I was thinking red and white, but they were green and white.  I had to modify the stockings to.  The only one's I could find were for skinny women, and well, since there's a little more of me than normal, I had to make my own above the knee-highs.  Wasn't to hard and kinda fun to try.  I also modified the apron.  It was only supposed to be a half apron, but I wanted an apron with a top and bottom.  All in all, I'm very happy with how it turned out!!  It's just to bad I can't wear it all the time! lol.
So here it is, my Halloween Costume!!

Thanks for looking!!! Smiley  WHat do you guys think??
