I could use some help.  There's a new baby on the way and I need inspiration for a new fairy tale quilt.  I've done Jack and the Beanstalk, Princess and the Pea, and Hey Diddle Diddle.  The new baby is going to be a girl.  Any suggestions?

Hansel and Gretel might be fun _ I'm having this vision of candyland almost when the witch is feeding them goodies. Hmm, and not sure if these are all fairy tales technically, but anyway...
Puss in Boots
The Frog Prince
Little Red Riding Hood
The Three Bears
The Ugly Duckling
the Emperor's New Clothes
Three Little Pigs
Thumbelina

Hmm.. that's all I can think of. Hope something gives you a spark of inspiration. :-)

Rapunzel did come to mind.  Goldilocks and the 3 bears could be very cute and tactile if the bears are fuzzy.  There is a really cool frog prince in this book, it's actually the cover image.

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

There's a free BOM online you could take a look at - the blocks are intended for embroidery but you might get some good ideas.  She's done 11 blocks so far, each representing a different fairy tale.  I particularly like her Rapunzel block!

I like the Rapunzel block too!

Hmm. I hadn't thought about doing a different fairy tale in each block.  Using blocks and multiples would make it different than the others and I could work on it more easily on the go.  Since no one fairy tale is really sparking inspiration, that might work.  Now that I'm thinking in blocks and panels, maybe Goldilocks and the three bears done in 3 or four panels...?

That would be cute. You could sort of storyboard the story in panels.
