Enter Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West!

I love the musical Wicked (and the book, but I love the musical a lot more) and my aunt suggested that I try to crochet her.

I tried to distinguish her from being just another witch by giving her some curves and braiding her hair (which also helped in the hair department, hair is my least favorite thing to do when I make dolls.)

The shoulder poofs happened on accident but then I realized that her dress has them! They also helped to distinguish her as the Wicked Witch of the West.

I'm considering doing a few other theatre icons to keep her company, I'd have to do the Phantom of course, Sweeney Todd... and maybe Mark from Rent?

EDIT:

Just to get one with the braid

I love the puffy shoulders.  I'd love to see a shot of her braid though too!
Great job!

This is great!
I love the Musical as well, but I wouldn´t say that I liked it better than the book, which was marvelous as well!
