I was inspired by the mario quilt.  I don't have any good pictures at the moment, just one of me working on it.  I was pinning the edges together, I think.  You can imagine two other space guys.  The quilt is kinda uneven, but it was my first.  And I had no clue what I was getting into.  I'll put up a better picture when I get it.  Oh, and I think I spent a couple days on this.  I know that sounds nuts, but I worked on it for a day or two, and then put it off until 3 days before Christmas, and just did it then.

There's a better picture.  The back is solid dark green.  Oh yeah, and I noticed that the black squares look differently shaded.  I'm not sure why because they all came from the same piece of fabric.  Oh well.  Maybe it's the flash?

Awesome!  This (and the Mario quilt) has made me really inspired to try quilting again.  I'd love to make a Duck Hunt quilt.  Do you have any advice/resources for beginning quilters?  I made a baby blanket once, but that was over 10 years ago and I never finished it.

I think what I like best about the quilt is the subtle variation of the black squares.  Who knew Space Invaders could be subtle?

This put a huge, huge smile on my face!!!!
