I've never entered one of these before and there are some great entries, but I am super proud of how my costume turned out so I'm showing it off.

I have a sort of complicated camera and my friend had a little trouble with the focus, but you can get the general idea.

Here's Little Dead Riding Hood off to the cemetery to see Grandma.

But look!  Here's a friendly woodsman.  He seems so nice.

Oh NOOOOOOOO!  He's not so nice after all, but he sure looks like he's having a good time.

I made everything I am wearing, except the shirt.  I wish I had better pictures of the hatchet.  I bought them at the dollar store, then cut one of the blades off just before the handle.  I then hot glued it to the front of the shirt.  The petticoat is made from 3 massive layers of tulle and 2 layers of cut and dyed cotton.  The over skirt fabric came from Joann's just like that.  I actually squealed in the store when I found it!  The hood is made from the same material with this awesome skull cut velvet for the cape part.  I think the makeup was the most fun to do!  My husband was a good sport for dressing up so I kept his simple.  I stained the shirts and then pored blood on the tee shirt.  He already had the loverly ripped jeans.  Smiley  It took quite a while to make, but the parts can also be used for other costumes later.  Hope you guys like it!
