  This is absolutely the best costume I have see entered here yet. (<- Biased, Horde player) I can only imagine the sweat put into these, they came out great. These can rival some of the costumes they have at Blizzcon every year. Good luck and best wishes to you both and in the contest. For the gloves, you can buy that sort of trim attached to a strip of tailors twill ribbon so it can be sewn between two layers of fabric, like on a cushion cover. for next time

Seeing the great work you did makes me more excited about finishing mine now. Yeah, I'm one of those overpopulated Night Elves, but its like you did. I chose to make mine as a snapshot of my main character, rather than just something recognizable. (Granted - I'm working on a more recognizable image too, but it isn't one of my characters, but a NPC...) And since my whole family just HAD to play alliance, I didn't have many choices. I'm 5'11" and wanted something with cosplay potential. At least it is a Druid, so I can play with leathers and nature elements, and not just a clothie. XD

I looked at a lot of costumes on Cosplay.com, and those folks are serious.  There are some amazing costumes on there, and it was hard not to get caught up in a sort of "keeping up with the Joneses" mentality.  I had to pull myself back by reminding myself I had two costumes and only a month to make them and a limited budget.

Don't ever feel you have to compare to those guys. Most of those cosplayers with the countless fancy costumes live with their parents and have few obligations, so they have help and money is not an issue. Which is why they can crank out so many of them, and have a different wig for every day of the month. Those of us who spend most of our time supporting families and earning a living have the ability to make great costumes too, as you proved, and I think that, in the long run, we appreciate them more.

Amazing job on all the details! I just made our costumes this year too(cloud and aeris), and after all the hard work, now that it's over, I feel empty inside ahah!
