I've often joked throughout my son's short life (he's only just turned one) that his big ears and bald head make him look like Dopey (because I'm mean like that).  So when the time came for Halloween costume decisions to be made, I naturally chose to dress him up like Dopey so that everyone else could see the resemblance (because I'm mean like that).  And then I decided I wanted to dress up too, so the obvious choice was to be Snow White.

and a blurrier photo, but we're smiling:

I sewed everything except the black long sleeved shirt I'm wearing underneath the dress.  It's a pity i didnt have more pictures showing the details, but I made my boy a belt buckle and golden buttons out of cardboard that I spray painted gold.
This pairing can't compete with some of the amazing creations on here, but everyone who saw us was thrilled.
C+C welcome, hope everyone had fun!

If it had grown up, it would have made a dreadfully ugly child; but it makes rather a handsome pig, I think.

If I was a bed, I would stay unmade.

love it!!  you did a fantastic job!  and as cute as dopey is (and everyone knows he's the cutest out of all the dwarfs by far), your son is 1000 times more adorable.
